TikTok is a highly popular video platform where you can record, watch others' videos, and share videos on your mobile phone or tablet. It's currently available as an app in the Google Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS devices. It's free to use, and you'll just need to make an account to get started. This wikiHow will show you how to download and install TikTok on your iPhone, iPad, Android, or Windows device.

Tap TikTok. This should be the first result in the list that's offered by TikTok Pte. Ltd.

Tap Install. You'll see this button under the app's title and app icon, which looks like a stylized music note. The app will install and you'll find it on one of your home screens and/or in the app drawer.

Tap Open. This will launch the app from the Play Store. You can also find the app icon on your home screen or app drawer.

Tap Get. You'll see this blue button next to the app's title and icon, which looks like a stylized music note.
- Depending on your settings, you may need to use Touch ID, Face ID, or a PIN to complete the download. Once the installation is finished, you'll then the app on one of your home screens.

Tap Open. This will open TikTok from the app store. You can also find the app on your home screen or App Library.
- Create a new account to begin using TikTok. You can also recover an existing account.
- Once you're logged in, you can create your first video. Continue to create—you may be on your way to becoming TikTok famous.

Open the Microsoft Store app. Type "Microsoft Store" into the Start menu and click the first result. By default, you'll see the Home page.

Type TikTok into the search bar. You can find this at the top of the window.

Click TikTok. This will be the first result. The icon looks like a multi-colored music note with a black background. Make sure it's the app by TikTok Pte. Ltd.[3]

Click Get. This is the blue button to the right of the app name.
- Your download will begin. It may take a few moments depending on your internet connection.

Click Open. When your download is finished, the Get button will turn into Open.
- The TikTok app will open. Upon first launch, you can choose to create a desktop shortcut and/or pin it to your taskbar. Otherwise, you can find TikTok in the Start menu.
- Click Log in to enter your TikTok account information, or click Sign up to create a new account.
- When you sign up for TikTok, it will ask about your interests and provide videos on your for you page.[4]
- Once you begin scrolling on the for you page and interacting with content, it will give you more posts similar to the ones you like or comment on.[5]
- You can customize your for you page with the help of the TikTok algorithm. If you like a couple of TikToks about Harry Potter, you will see much more Harry Potter content pop up for you. You can also search for something you are interested in and like the content from that search to tell the algorithm what you like to see more.[6]

First, delete the TikTok app. On Android, open the Google Play Store → tap your profile picture → tap "Manage Apps & Devices" → tap "Manage" → tap "TikTok → tap "Uninstall". Try to restart your phone, and then download the TikTok app again. Also, check to see if your internet connection is working. If TikTok still won't download, make sure you have permission to download apps on your phone, if you aren't the device owner. Some downloads may be blocked by Screen Time restrictions (iOS) or the Family Link app (Android).
